2005 PHBA YOUTH HIGH POINT WINNERS

Palomino
Exhibitors Association of Missouri Youth member Libby Tudor (left),
recently received her 2005 High Point in the Nation 13 &
Under Awards at the Palomino Horse Breeders of America Youth
Convention Banquet. The meeting was held in conjunction with
the PHBA-Y World Show on July 15, 2006 in Tulsa, OK. Besides
receiving the 13 & Under High Point Saddle made by Mr. Stephen
Hodge of Fourwinds Saddlery, Libby also received trophies for
placing First in the Nation in 13 and Under Trail, Reining, Barrels,
Flags, Pole Bending, Ranch Horse, Stakes, and second in Hunt
Seat Equitation, Showmanship, Western Horsemanship, and Western
Riding. Libby owns and exhibits her 2000 AQHA Palomino Gelding,
No Doubt A Zippo. The pair was recognized as well for earning
their PHBA Youth Supreme Award in 2005. During the World Show,
Libby and "Romeo" won Reserve World Champion in 13
& Under Trail and Western Riding as well as multiple Top
Five and Top Ten placings. Libby resides on the family's farm
near Saint Joseph, Mo.
PEAM Associate Youth member, Amanda Rohwedder (right), 19
years old, of Waterloo, IL, and her 1993 AQHA Palomino Gelding,
Neatly Stung, were honored with the 2005 PHBA 14-18 High Point
in the Nation title. For their efforts, they received a High
Point saddle made by Fourwinds Saddlery of Muskogee, OK, and
first place trophies in Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle,
Reining, Road Hack, Showmanship, Trail, and Western Horsemanship.
They also earned the National Snaffle Bit Association first place
award for 14-18 Hunter Under Saddle and placed second in the
nation in 14-18 Western Pleasure and Halter Geldings. She and
"Bailey" won the 14-18 Reserve Golden Horse title while
exhibiting at the 2006 PHBA-Youth World Show. Additionally, they
won Reserve World Champion in 14-18 Showmanship, Flag Race, and
Road Hack besides multiple Top Five and Top Ten placings during
the World Show. At the close of 2006, Amanda will 'graduate'
from the Youth division and move on to the Amateur division.
Not pictured was PEAM Associate Youth member Paige Murphy,
9 years old, who was honored for winning the 2005 PHBA High Point
in the Nation 5-9 Walk Trot Award. Paige along with her mother's
1989 AQHA gelding, Impressive One Note, won First in the Nation
in Walk-Trot Hunter Under Saddle, Showmanship, Trail, Western
Horsemanship, and won second in Hunt Seat Equitation. During
the 2006 World Show, she exhibited her new horse, You Bet Zipper,
and they were honored for winning the Walk-Trot 5-9 Golden Horse
Award. The two were World Champions in Walk-Trot Hunt Seat Equitation
and Reserve World Champions in Western Horsemanship. They too
had multiple Top Five or Top Ten placings in their remaining
classes at the World Show. Paige resides with her family in Tulsa,
OK.

In the youth division, Dakota Watkins
(left) was awarded the 2005 Youth Reserve High Point Halter Horse
title with "How D Credible." She was only one point
out of the High Point award! The pair also was honored for winning
the 2005 Youth High Point Aged Gelding title. Dakota was elected
the Region 5 youth director too! Catherine Tudor (center) was
recognized for competing at the 2005 AQHA World Show representing
Missouri on the MQHA Youth Judging Team. Libby Tudor (right)
was honored for placing 5th in the Novice Youth Trail class for
year end points, as well as placing 4th in Novice Youth Hunt
Seat Equitation. Libby exhibited her Palomino "No Doubt
A Zippo" to win the awards.

Catherine and Libby Tudor entered
the Youth Fine Arts competition held at the 2006 Missouri Quarter
Horse Convention held at Tan Tara Resort in February. They competed
in the Arts & Crafts division. Catherine won first place
for her painted wrought iron coat rack and Libby won second for
her hand painted Palomino flower pot.

PEAM youth member Libby Tudor, was
awarded the 2005 First place title in Open Junior Trail and 2nd
in Open Junior Hunter Under Saddle. Libby's father, Rick Tudor
(left) won the 2005 Novice Amateur High Point in the Nation title.
He also won 1st place in Novice Amateur Showmanship. Both Rick
and Libby exhibited Libby's 5 year old gelding, No Doubt A Zippo,
